Spyra One
Our services:
Following the successful Kickstarter campaign by the Munich-based founders of Spyra we had the opportunity to support the young team with our experience in product development and manufacturing engineering.
The foundation was a revision of the housing design and the creation of a parametric outer shell with dynamic contours and curvature-continuous design surfaces.
In cooperation with Spyra's engineers, the technical concept was optimized for series production and the basic arrangement of the components was defined.
We advised Spyra continuously through to final series production and were able to make an important contribution to bringing this ambitious project to life.
In summer 2020, the Spyra One was delivered to Kickstarter backers around the world.

Making of
As the first product of its kind, the Spyra One was intended to have an iconic design that clearly distinguishes it from conventional water guns while still remaining unmistakably recognizable as a toy.
The clearly defined silhouette, combined with bold surfaces and dynamic highlight edges, forms the basis of the successful product design.
In collaboration with the Spyra design team, structured accents were added in selected areas to give the design its finishing touch.
