SkinPeeler ultra

Prototyping and validationSkinPeeler ultraby REVIDERM is an equipment-based treatment method that combines two technologies: microdermabrasion and ultrasound, which work synergistically and effectively.
Using microdermabrasion, the SkinPeeler ultra helps remove dead skin cells, impurities and blemishes that accumulate on the skin's surface. By removing these layers, the SkinPeeler ultra promotes cell renewal and improves the appearance of the skin.
The ultrasound technology uses high-energy sound waves to trigger mechanical, physicochemical and thermal processes in the skin. This improves blood circulation and provides vascular stimulation with a drainage effect.
In this project, ID DESIGN's task was to translate an existing technical and physical concept into a new product generation.
Through an extensive research and analysis phase, technical concept development, a comprehensive design phase and detailed mechanical engineering, a contemporary and technically mature product was created that meets both the aesthetic and practical requirements of customers.

Design
During the design phase, it was initially important to understand the technical constraints precisely in order to explore the available design possibilities.
Over the course of the process, several design concepts were developed using a broad range of sketches and then translated into simple 3D models. These initially very simple 3D CAD models quickly revealed which concepts were best suited to meeting all functional and usability requirements.
As the processprogressed, the most promising approaches were further detailed and developed into photorealistic renderings.

Prototyping
A functional prototype was produced in order to test technical, functional, engineering and ergonomic aspects. This prototype made it possible to evaluate the product under real conditions and identify potential problems or areas for improvement.
ID DESIGN was responsible for engineering and sourcing all parts to be manufactured as well as the initial assembly of the complete unit.
Based on the findings gainedthe necessary adjustments and optimizations were made to further refine the SkinPeeler ultra and align it as closely as possible with the needs and requirements of the target group, helping to ensure a successful market launch.

Mechanical Engineering
Based on the findings from the prototype and the associated feedback, the SkinPeeler underwent another engineering optimization and detailing round.
ID DESIGN was responsible for the final engineering of all mechanical components to be manufactured. All series-production details were also coordinated with the manufacturers.
