miha bodytec Transport Cart
Mobile EMS device for medical applications

Prototyping and validation miha bodytec Transport Cart was specifically designed to make treatments in different rooms and across several floors more efficient and flexible. All required equipment is integrated into a compact mobile unit, allowing trainers and therapists to provide EMS training even to bedridden patients with minimal effort.
The product is a completely new development. It is miha bodytec's first wireless EMS system and was specifically designed for medical use, enabling the company to enter a new and previously untapped market segment.

Mechanical Engineering& Series Production
The trolley was engineered by ID DESIGN with the goal of making all customer-specific components as tool-free and therefore as efficient to manufacture as possible. The tube frame made from bent aluminum profiles was designed so that all screw connections remain concealed, creating a clean and high-quality overall appearance.
At the same time, a major focus was placed on straightforward final assembly. All relevant purchased components – including locks, handles, slides and casters – were extensively tested to ensure optimum functionality and high reliability in later use.

Concept Development & Design
Based on the defined framework conditions and requirements, ID DESIGN developed several feasible concept variants for the transport trolley. Using 1:1 mock-ups and VR models, the required installation spaces and ergonomic parameters were evaluated precisely. This made it possible to develop a focused concept that could be transferred into series development with almost no changes.
All surfaces, materials and print finishes were selected and specified with great care in order to create a harmonious overall product in which every detail is deliberately designed.

Product family
The new miha bodytec design language is based on striking black-and-white contrasts combined with high-quality, easy-to-clean real-metal surfaces that clearly underline the company's premium positioning.
As part of designing the entire product family, a transport trolley, a case and a wireless stimulation unit were created. All products were developed in parallel and consistently aligned with the new corporate design.
