Mobile EMS device for medical applications
The Industrial Design is the consistent evolution of miha bodytec's established stationary EMS system, the market leader in electromuscular stimulation. As a certified medical device, it marks the brand's strategic entry into rehabilitation, therapy and mobile applications.
Compared with the previous model, the device was completely rethought: a newly engineered, reinforced plastic housing significantly reduces weight without compromising stability, hygiene or medical requirements. This makes mobile use in practices, clinics and therapy environments considerably easier.
ID DESIGN provided comprehensive support to miha bodytec in technical concept development, industrial product design and the complete engineering of all housing components. We also took over project management, including coordination and technical clarification with suppliers, to ensure a series-ready, standards-compliant and economically viable solution.

Mechanical Engineering
From the outset, all components were consistently designed and optimized for lightweight construction because the product was specifically developed for mobile use in therapy and rehabilitation. A particular challenge was integrating the already defined electronic components into a housing that was as light as possible while still being highly robust and IP-protected.
ID DESIGN carried out the manufacturing-oriented engineering of all components and supported the product throughout the entire development process – from prototype and pre-series through to series readiness. We also developed and implemented special assembly and auxiliary tools for final assembly in order to enable efficient, repeatable and quality-controlled series production.

Das miha bodytec m.ove überzeugt durch eine klare, reduzierte und funktionale Gestaltung, die den hohen Anforderungen eines High-End-Medizinprodukts gerecht wird. Bedienelemente, Anzeigen und Schnittstellen sind logisch angeordnet, eindeutig gekennzeichnet und ermöglichen eine intuitive, sichere Bedienung im therapeutischen Alltag.
Oberflächen, Materialien und Lichtakzente wurden gezielt aufeinander abgestimmt, um einen hochwertigen, ruhigen und professionellen Gesamteindruck zu schaffen – passend für den Einsatz in Rehabilitation, Therapie und medizinischen Einrichtungen.
Die Überführung eines anspruchsvollen Designkonzepts in ein serienreifes Medizinprodukt erfordert tiefgehende Erfahrung in Produktdesign, Konstruktion, DFM und Projektmanagement sowie eine konsequente Abstimmung mit Lieferanten und Fertigungspartnern. Genau diese Kombination aus technischer Kompetenz, Detailgenauigkeit und Durchsetzungsstärke im Projektmanagement zeichnet ID DESIGN aus.
Product family
The new miha bodytec design language deliberately uses strong black-and-white contrasts combined with high-quality, hygienic real-metal surfaces. This choice of materials and colors emphasizes the brand's premium positioning while meeting the demanding requirements for cleanability and durability in medical environments.
As part of the further development of the miha bodytec m.ove product family, a mobile transport trolley, a robust transport case and a wireless stimulation unit were also created. All products were developed in parallel, coordinated with one another in terms of form and function, and consistently designed in line with the new corporate design. This created a cohesive and recognizable appearance across all components – from the main unit to the accessories.
