With the cryotherapy device Z-Lipo by Zimmer MedizinSysteme, localized fat deposits can be reduced in a targeted, lasting and non-invasive way.
In this procedure, fat deposits are cooled over an extended period to a controlled and safe temperature range. This removes enough energy from the fat cells for them to be naturally broken down by the body over the following weeks.
For this project, ID DESIGN was responsible for the conceptual architecture and the design of the device and its applicators.

Design
The first step was to create the broadest possible range of concepts. The installation space for the technical components and numerous technical aspects such as ventilation, cable connections and ergonomic operation had to be taken into account.
The selected concept was developed in detail and then prepared for preliminary engineering.
