Prototyping and validation DEHNpatch outdoor is a surge-protection device for Gigabit Ethernet applications.

The primary priorities in this project were safety, universal applicability and technical reliability. Continuous exposure to weather conditions placed high demands on the long-term durability of the device.

The housing consists of two halves manufactured using aluminum die casting; when screwed together, they form a watertight connection. The sensitive internal components are therefore fully protected against external environmental influences.
Clever details such as captive screws and integrated cable seals make assembly extremely straightforward and help prevent incorrect operation.
